      This is probably because when you stand on tip toes, you start over stretching your leg muscles if you’re not used to it. Standing on your tip toes would send a signal to your brain which then triggers a reflex that causes contractions in your legs to make you stop before you cause any damage.

      Ballerina’s stretch a lot meaning they can stand on tip toes for much longer periods than we can!
