      Hi mjp2002 and emelia0109 !

I am inspired by many people, many times they are friends, co-workers, Professors who I meet to discuss my work. Their ideas make me stimulated to carry on 🙂 I find going to conferences really inspiring, where I get to meet other enthusiastic people who are working in similar fields. And sometimes when my research is not going too good or experiments are not working I watch some inspirational documentaries on famous scientists like Einstein, Stephen Hawking to pep me up and keep me going.

There are some truly inspirational women in science. Although women are at the forefront of scientific advancement, there are still more men than women working in science. I find women such as Rita Colwell who have done so much for science (she’s co-authored more than 800 scientific publications) and help promote women in science incredibly inspiring 🙂
