We get electricity from many different sources including water, coal, nuclear power and wind turbines.
The way we make electricity from these things is the same – using magnets. The sources we use are used to spin turbines, which in turn spins magnets inside a wire and it’s this motion that generates a current. The current flows through the wire and is pushed out of high-voltage transformers.
We also generate electricity from solar panels…but I’m not sure how this works exactly!
