      It depends…

Bacteria don’t set out to make you ill… They’re just looking for somewhere to live, and call home. A lot of bacteria live inside you, help out a bit, and don’t do anything to hurt you.

in fact its generally not in the bacteria best interest to hurt you – if you die or get sick ,then they’re homeless!

However some bacteria are harmful, either because they use up something you need, they produce something thats bad for you, or otherwise interfere with your body’s operation. Sometimes the worst effects are actually your body trying to get rid of the infection, rather than the direct actions of the bacteria.

      Hi jol3y
Bacteria have the capacity to release toxins that are harmful to the body. some of these disrupt the cellular functions of the body, some of them can even change the basal body temperature. That is the reason we get fever everytime!
