Hmmm… that is interesting question minimovermax! Yes, it has a cure if detected fast enough, one can take medicines and control diet (eat less) to cure oneself of it and sometimes even medicines donot work. But, I have come across a doctor here who has treated people who have had diabetes for many many years and are already on medication which has not worked. And he does this by just asking people to make changes in their diet, for example he would tell them to stop milk products altogether! Some of my Aunts and Uncles who have diabetes have gone to this doctor and they say that their diabetes has miraculously become much better compared to before.
So there is not a straightforward answer to this. Things such as yoga and exercise help a lot to prevent and make diabetes better. In some cases though diabetes starts right from birth or is genetic and in that case there is not cure unfortunately, but even then the right kind of lifestyle (like healthy food and exercise and a stress free life) can help to delay it not necessarily curing it.
Overall diabetes affects most of the systems of the body and that is the reason it is really hard to treat. Alot of research by scientists is going in understanding why in the first place this disease is so complicated!
