      yes.

      you’ve got 2 parent, 4 grandparents, 8 great grandparents. It doubles each time. If you go back 32 generations you’d have 4billion ancestors, which is more people than were on the planet at the time, so its safe to say everyone is probably related.

      Hi 12cbolt!

      It’s estimated if you go back 100 generations – around 3000 years ago – all humans now have a common ancestor, which is that far back at all! That means that in 3000 years, someone alive today will be the common ancestor of all humanity!
