      It depends on when you go, and what route you take.

      At least a few years. The distance changes as the two planets orbit the sun, so sometimes they’re quite close. However you can take a slightly longer route by slingshoting around the moon, and even Venus (NASA had plans to do this in the 70’s by developing the Apollo program, but they never got the money to do it), which gets you there with less energy.
