We already have been! Well, a space probe made by humans has. The Voyager 1 spaceship was launched in 1977 and last year became the first manmade object to leave the solar system. There’s a lovely article you can read about it here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-24026153).
The Voyager ship is still sending back signals to Earth, and you can even track it online (http://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/where/)!

It’s taken the voyager 1 36 years to leave the solar system….so it would be a trip of a lifetime if humans were to do a similar trip. Literally!
