      I love my work! Research is so exciting – you get to come into work and maybe discover something new that no one has done before! It’s also very varied – I do something different nearly everyday and it’s never boring – not many jobs are like that!

      Yes most of the times I love my work. I get to discover new stuff and tell the world about it, that’s exciting!

      But sometimes the work pressure builds up and there are deadlines to be met, which leaves me with no time to do other things I like such as going for a swim or a stroll in the park.

      Yes, very much. I haven’t always been a scientist so it’s good to have something to compare to. I used to be a plumber, so I had quite an unusual career change! I think it’s good to have a bit of an idea of what career you want when you’re at school, but you’ll never really know until you start, and it’s rarely too late to change.
