      Yes UV rays can cause skin cancers, however these are not communicable. When these fall on our skins, they lead to damage to our DNA leading to cancer. That is the reason, we are always advice to wear sunscreen before we go to the beach. Interestingly, UV are also used to kill germs and bacteria in labs and hospitals, that is the reason they cannot lead to infectious diseases.
