      No dogs are not colourblind, however they cannot see all colours like we can. They cannot differentiate between green and yellow unlike us. But they can see UV light that we cannot. Isn’t that pretty cool!! 🙂

      Cats also see some colours – they can tell the difference between red, blue and yellow, but not as many colours as us because we have more cone cells – the cells that detect visible light. But cats are better than us at seeing things in the night because they have a lot more rod cells – the other type of cells in our eye that detect dim light. They also have a peripheral vision of 200 degrees compared to our 180 degrees which gives them that hunting edge. This is why cats like mine are always bringing mice into the house when it’s dark!
