For me, I like being able to make new discoveries which hopefully one day can make a difference in the world. In addition to this though, I like that the role is very varied – no two days are the same and the work is quite flexible and allows for lots of travel. Essentially, I just really like chatting to people and finding out about their life experiences and being a Psychological scientist allows me to do this 🙂

So many things! I love designing new experiments – it’s so satisfying when they work and you discover something new. I also love working in a lab as well as an office as it keeps the work really varied. The best bits are when you’ve finished a block of experiments and get to take your results to conferences and public engagement events. It’s really nice to see what other people think of your science and to use it to make positive changes.
