      Hi Romario

      A food web is a way of showing which organisms eat other ones – as a picture rather than written as sentences. Usually you would make a food web for a particular environment. In a pond it might be something like this… (–> means ‘is eaten by’).

      Algae –> mosquitoe larvae –> fish –> heron

      What makes this a ‘web’ is when you include lots of links between different organisms e.g. a fish could also eat water beetles or the algae. Have a look at this page to see a good example of this and how it is more complex than a food chain…
