I’d like to believe there are infinite parallel universes.
Different timelines of everyone of our decisions, leading to a different consequence – and so a different parallel universe. That sounds quite cool.
However, I’ve no idea what the science is behind this kind of theory. And on top of that. Whether or not it’s real, doesn’t matter a great deal.
We’re better off making the most out of our own story-line.
I’ve read some theories and there are lots of nice ideas.

It sounds like a cool idea (the old sci-fi TV show “sliders” looked at this with typical 90’s panash).

And just because I can’t experience or know something, doesn’t mean it can’t be true. So I put this in the box of “maybe – but mostly because I like the idea more than I have any really explanation behind it”.
I’m not sure, it’s hard to imagine another universe, but then again it seems unlikely that our universe is the only universe. If our universe appeared from nothing in the big bang then why can’t it happen many times with different universes?
I think it would be interesting to think about an alternative universe, but do not really know how or what that would be made of, and how it would differ to ours.
There is a whole branch of Psychology named parapsychology which aims to objectively, scientifically assess what is happening when people report paranormal experiences. However, this field is generally criticised quite heavily – and many believe it to be a ‘pseudoscience’ or ‘fake’ science. This video below gives some more details of how people have tried to use science to ‘prove’ the existence of paranormal activity.
