I’ve dabbled a little bit in sports Psychology, which can be an interesting field. The neuroscience behind sports is really interesting – it’s cool to find out which parts of your brain are activated by exercise
We are involved in some research studies looking into physical activity and its effects on health and education outcomes for children and young people, as well as on a national level. Also looking into the effects of where people live and their environment exposure, such as access to sports faculties & parks for example and the role that plays in the health and wellbeing
I find sports science interesting – mainly the sports psychology aspect, understanding the ‘winning mindset’. I actually really enjoy watching American Football, and the players on there have sport psychologists, which just seems like a really cool job to have.
