My favourite part is when the experiments are over, and I get to go analyse the data I’ve collected. It’s always exciting to see if you have results that show you something – I once started dancing in the middle of the office because my results were so interesting! One of my colleagues once cried because she was so happy that she had great results. Scientists sometimes get very emotional about our work because it means so much to us.

My favourite part must be when the MRI scan finishes and nothing broke down and the participants didn’t fall asleep inside the scanner! Then I know I’ve collected all the data and it’s another experiment with data *I can useMATOMO_URL There is so much work put into the experiments, that it’s just very rewarding to see that everything worked out alright for that session!

The best part of my experiment is when malaria parasite starts growing in human red blood cells. I can see the grown parasites in a microscope after applying a special staining of the red blood cells called Giemsa staining.
