I went to highschool in France and Switzerland, where we didn’t have the same GSCE/A-level system as in the UK, so unfortunately I can’t give you much of an answer… If you’re interested in studying science at university, I would say maths will be very helpful whatever your specialist subject (especially if you’re doing physics like me!). However the foundation and first year of undergraduate degrees is meant to help people from various backgrounds get up to speed in their topic, so I wouldn’t worry too much about what exactly you covered in your last two years of highschool.
