I really enjoyed being at King’s College. Being in a large city was really exciting and you have so many opportunities to do fun things. Although, it can be a bit daunting travelling to different sites across London but I found it useful being able to access uni buildings on different sides of London.

I was based in the Institute of Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuropsychiarty in Denmark Hill, which was a little bit out of the centre of London. It had really good facilities and was right next to The Maudsley Hospital where I did my placement. Yay!

Studying at King’s was a fantastic experience for me – my first time in the UK (and London is very different from the rest of the UK), my first time in a big city, my first time at university…

I loved the mixture of old and new buildings: my philosophy seminars were held in tiny rooms under the roofs, very cosy and hipster-like, while my physics classes where in huge lecture halls and shiny labs. The view over the Thames from the department of physics (7th floor I think?) was breathtaking.
