Question: Would it be possible to find a medicine for COVID-19 and how hard would this be?

Hi- it’s definitely possible! At the moment we don’t know much amount about the virus so it’s hard to say how difficult finding a treatment will be. Drug discovery takes a long time- they’re are a huge number of factors to consider! But there are loads of people working on COVID-19 just now so fingers crossed they find something. It’s unlikely to be very soon though.

Hi There,
It is possible that scientists will be able to develop new vaccines and treatments in the near future. But we don’t know how successful these will be. Please follow gov.uk and NHS guidance on COVID-19.
