Question: what was your favourite experiment you did in school?

I’m not really sure – perhaps burning various snacks to see how much energy they released! I seem to remember jelly babies released a lot of energy!

I always loved the experiments our Chemistry teacher did where she made things burn or explode…the thrill of seeing some burning sodium skating across a beaker of water still lives with me.

My favourite experiment at school was for a biology class looking at radioactivity and we used a Geiger counter after drinking coffee and eating bananas to see how radioactive we were.

I remember one experiment they did at school to demonstrate how solar energy can be used to cook food!
