That’s a very interesting question! I could talk a lot about St Andrews as a town, I really like the beach and Jeanetta’s ice cream shop is my favourite place to go. It’s a nice quiet town to live in. But I think you might be asking about the university, haha! I really like the university, it’s quite small, so I know almost everyone in the Chemistry department and have lots of friends all over the university who study different subjects like Biology and Physics. I like working in the Chemistry department because everyone is so helpful and friendly to each other. Often scientists who work in different areas will talk about science and end up coming up with lots if fantastic ideas that we wouldn’t have by ourselves! It’s also nice because if I’m ever stressed about work, there is always someone there to talk to about it and have a cup of tea. The labs in St Andrews are quite modern and have lots of very cool machines that we use for our chemistry experiments.
