I’ll be honest… I don’t think I’d want another scientific job. Working in a University gives me a lot more freedom of choice than I would have in industrial. I set my own agenda, choose my own research activities and even train my own research staff! I doubt if there’s another job where I would have as much flexibility in what I do!

If I was very talented then I’d like to be a professional sports person. It looks like a lot of fun travelling the world and spending time in lots of nice places. So I think i’d want to do that. However, I do really really really like being a scientist.

If life gave me another option, I would like to be an artificial intelligence scientist. Since the Googlel AlphaGo match with Lee Sedol, I got inerested in artificial intelligence. No doubt it is one top tech field of the future!
