      I am currently closer to make a step to cure cancer as I am working in the field

      I would go with curing the cancer, lets save lives.

      If you just look practically at the number of people/ population affected by cancer or world peace, I would give world Peace a bit more preference. Also, violence would mean less economic stability for a nation which could cut the money inflow for any kind of research!
