        I reckon you did bit your fingers when you were a baby. Then you notice it hurts and so you stop doing it. Your mind remember the pain it does.

        You mind will let you bite your own fingers off, just like you can stab yourself. It would however actually be quite difficult as your fingers are quite tough.

        If you do anything to cause your body pain, the pain receptors will get active and send the signals to the brain to try everything it can to stop the pain alleivating. So, even if you try you will feel yourself holding back from biting it more.
