        Its not always a benefit. The benefit is blue eyes are attractive. The disadvantage is that person having blue eyes (less melanin in their eyes), may have a problem in high glare situations. Brown eyes absorb most of the light,so there is not much light to reflect within the eye. in case of blue eyes, as light gets reflected within the eye, it makes it difficult to see when you have a strong sunglare or face headlights at night.
