Question: What would happen if there were no rocks upon earth?

Rocks are underestimated to a certain extent considering they play a ‘backstage’ role. (Just like the camerman in a movie, you dont see him, but his role in the movie is as important as the actor)

If Rocks were not there, I am not sure we would be having such a pleasant way of life as now. There would be no coal, so no energy (remember coal was one of the first sources of energy used), no minerals, no metals (most of the minerals and metals can be found embedded in rocks (you wont find them anywhere else). Petroleum products wouldnot be there, (what would you do without proper fuel, i cant imagine).Most important of all, groundwater system wont work, your body will have to adapt drinking sea salty water! Groundwater are held in the rocks, and rocks help in storing the water in aquifiers.

So, a lot of things, these are just the things which came to my mind instantaneously, there can be many more things which could happen if there were no rocks!
