• Question: In your opinion, how many years away do you think we are from making a major breakthrough in green energy? furthermore how far do you think it'll be before we understand enough about nuclear fusion to exploit it as a viable energy source?

There are already a lots of breakthrough in green energy. More and more solar energy, geothermal energy and wind power are developed in developed countries. For instance, UK government propose to build Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay project which would be the world’s first man-made, energy-generating lagoon. The sun is currently the best reactor in nuclear fusion. Research are currently under taken however it presents so far insurmountable scientific and engineering challenges.

They apprear to have been promising nuclear fission for many years we are moving forward but slowly I would use the cop out and say 50 years.

as for green energy we have alot of good technology now. rumour are scotland can gerrenrate all its power needs from green energy.

Nuclear fusion to use as an energy source is difficult as per the present technology, because its difficult to contain the energy! I think it would take another 50-60 years before we fully understand how to contain the fusion energy and use it!
