Question: if anti-biotics were over used in modern society, would an inhereted resistence to the drugs E.G: paracetomol be possible because if it was, that would be bad! If so, what would be an effective replacement or solution?

  Hi Thomas, antibiotics face resistance because their targets are microbes/bacteria. bacterias/viruses are known to undergo mutations and change their structures in such a way that the drug is no longer effective. As Paracetamol doesn’t target a bacteria/virus, it wont face such a problem, unless you take it for long time (like months, which is not advisable)

  bacterial resistance can be passed on to other bacteria. with resistance we need to find other ways around the problem by understanding exactly how the bacteria “work”.
