• Question: I know how the sun goes in different directions but how are the shadows, created from the sun and solids and liquids coloured black? How are they coloured black?

        Shadows are formed when an object blocks the light falling on it so the light can’t reach the surface on the other side of the object. Shadows often appear black because the visible light cannot make its way past the obstruction, if there is no light falling on an object then it will be black as there is no light to reflect.
        Also, shadows are inherently blue in hue. Meaning that blue is the general color for most shadows. Most of us think of shadows as being black, however black is a neutral color. The hue of shadow is in fact blue.
