        Smallest molecule diameter[edit]

The smallest molecule is the diatomic hydrogen (H2), with a bond length of 0.74 Å.

Largest molecule diameter Mesoporous silica have been produced with a diameter of 1000 Å (100 nm)

H2 est the oldest molecule, 13 milliards of years which appears just after the big bang and the smallest one in the universe. It is also the lightest, and the most abundant one.
Organic chemists in Switzerland have built a ginormous virus-sized macromolecule 600 time bigger than haemoglobin, 2 micrometers of length called PG5 purely synthetic.
