Personally, I cannot. Although I would like to think someone can, as this would be awesome! Some years ago scientists managed to clone a sheep and cloning and expressing simple cells for “bioengineering” has been around for a while. Bring on the year of the mammoth.

I like Alexander’s answer and will just support it with a news I read in ‘Scientific American’ (by D. Biello) last year:
In 2000, a falling tree killed the last bucardo, a goatlike (wild ibex) animal (Celia). After 2 years, Celia’s clone was born. To make the clone scientists removed the nucleus of a cell from Celia intact and inserted it into the unfertilized egg cell of another kind of ibex. They then transferred the resulting embryo to the womb of a living goat. Nearly a year later they delivered the clone by cutting her from her mother.
Although she lived for a few minutes, but looks like it is possible.

if we can get a complete genome (set of genetic material) then I would say yes. might be a few years before it is done though.

Its very difficult with the present cloning techniques. need a lot of improvement and advanced understanding!
