        yes, each part a function. the back of the brain controls breathing.

        Yes, Maddy. Each part of the brain has specific functions. Like the cerebrum regulates thoughts and action, cerebellum regulates movement and posture, medulla oblongata regulates the involuntary actions like breathing, heart rate, etc.
