Technology is widely used in police work. CCTV cameras (product of science ofcourse) is a very widely used tool, which tells a lot about a particular crime scene as it is a direct evidence of a crime. The UK presently has an extensive automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) CCTV network, which helps in tracking any car by their numberplates, which can give a direct location to a crime suspect, and thus help in solving crime.
