When I talk about molecules I generally mean organic compounds mainly composed of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and halogens. Some are synthetic molecules not found in nature (like paracetamol) but some are naturally occurring like quinine or glucose. Try searching for these molecules on Google to see their structures and you will see how diverse they can be.
Molecules is a really broad term, it can mean anything from oxygen (O2) to compounds used to treat cancer! When I say the word molecules, I often refer to small molecules such as hydrogen peroxide!
Molecules are the collections of atoms that are the building blocks of all the matter around using including ourselves. Some molecules may only have a few atoms like nitrogen (N2), oxygen (O2) and water (H2O). Others can have very large numbers of molecules… not just millions, or billions but billions of billions!
