There’s lots of fun stuff to learn in science… Perhaps the most interesting that my group has found is that the way small carbon monoxide molecules order in solid carbon monoxide at very low temperatures has a massive influence on the formation of stars. The nanoscale influencing the macroscale!

I was amazed to find out at school that there are many types of water ice and there is a set of conditions at which water is liquid, solid and gas at the same time.
When the size of a nucleus becomes very large (Lanthanides and Actinides) that the electrons experience relativistic effects, similar items orbiting black holes. Two ends of the size scale!
