• Question: why Is it that protozoan cause malaria and could you find an anti-biotic that will counter act it

      I am not sure why the protozoan itself causes malaria. The parasite (Plasmodium falciparum) evolved from a species that used to infect gorillas. Malaria is now spread to humans via the female mosquito. There are antibiotics that have already been developed that treat malaria itself and also there are the malaria tablets that we are given to take before we go on holiday to areas where malaria occurs. With a combination of these 2 treatments malaria is both preventable and treatable.
