I haven’t ever found a disease! Most of the common reasons you get sick have been discovered already but the first bacteria I worked out glowed in the dark and infected your heart!

Yes most diseases and bacteria have been discovered a long long time ago. However in my lab there are a couple of people who have discovered brand new viruses that can attack bacteria. Science can be one giant piece of team work, one person may find something and then new people may join the research group and start new work to find out more.

I don’t actually work with diseases, I am an Environmental Microbiologist, meaning I am looking at how we can use microorganisms to generate renewable energy.
