Diseases are often associated with living organisms such as bacteria. These microorganisms are trying to survive in the world just as we are. The human body is quite a safe and warm place to live!! So they enter the body in various ways so they have a place to reproduce

Yes as Aaron said bacteria are just another living organism looking for a place to “live” and multiply. They can enter via openings such as the mouth or through a cut for example and if the conditions are right for them e.g. our immune system is lowered or other antibiotics have reduced our “good bacteria” (normal flora) to name a few, they will multiply and eventually cause the symptoms we experience!

I can’t really add much more to what Aaron and Ananthi have said. Most infections are caused by ‘opportunistic’ bacteria. This means they don’t usually live in our bodies, but sometimes they end up there and when they do they have a great place to grow and divide.
      This causes infection to us!
