To me it’s cancer. This is because it’s something that’s with us now and we can see it causing much pain to people.

Definitely cancer, I’ve suffered from it myself so it’s something that is close to myself and my family. It is affecting more and more people everyday, and although the illness is awful the treatment is just as bad, so to me it is very important and it needs a lot of work!

However, it would be VERY cool if we can find aliens!

Tough choice but I’d have to say black holes being invisible death holes because even if we cure cancer and find aliens if the earth gets sucked into one of them then it doesn’t matter….were all gone!

I’d also say cancer, as it’s quite important right now!

I did face the death of a love one from cancer, so I know how important it is. However, I think research is on a good slope about most of the type of cancer.
I would not say intelligent life form either, because I believe they exist and they are probably more intelligent than we are and will end by finding us.
I agree with Christopher, black holes turning into death holes would be a major (and the unique) threat on humanity and the whole universe, so it should be the most important to consider.
