I would say in terms of topic, then medicine and diseases! But for science in general I would say the most important thing is for science to benefit the world and everyone in it! Not just the countries with the most money or the companies with the most money.

I agree with Chris, medicine and diseases! There are some nasty diseases out there and finding cures, treatments and early detection methods are something I feel very strongly about!

I also think that the most important part of science is finding cures for diseases and fighting infection so we can help people live better lives!

I’m going to go a bit different to everyone else here and say communication… it’s the only way stuff gets done. So to identify a problem it first needs to be communicated to scientists, then scientists must communicate to funders to get money to actually carry out the research, scientists communicating to other scientists means they learn new skills and debate ideas to solve a problem faster and finally scientists communicating their ideas to the general public is important so they can understand the work that has been done
