A bit of a guess here… but I assume the sun provides more than enough vitamin D for the human body. Vitamin D supplements are around for when exposure to sunlight is lower (for example the shorter days in winter)
Vitamin D is vital for us! The sun provides enough especially in the summer months but in the winter months and especially for us guys with darker skin there is less absorption of it so a supplement is useful. I tend to take a top up during the winter months especially as the days are so short!
