• Question: Did you enjoy science in secondary school because I don't since we are just doing stupid observation and a lot of people muck around in class?

I can understand why observation is frustrating, I much preferred science when things get more hands on in practicals! This is why (if I was lucky enough to win) I would bring some cool microbiology experiments to schools, or get schools to visit universities where you can get some hands on experience and learn how fun microbiology can be! My advice for you for now is to try your best to ignore the guys who muck around in class, don’t let them ruin things for you….and find out by reading around and checking out youtube what interests you and I’m sure there are some fun experiments you could try at home. Or maybe you can suggest to your teachers to hold an afternoon or lunch time science club where you can have a bit more fun!

I agree with you, I enjoy science a lot more when it is hands on and practical! Science gets more practical the more you study it 🙂 I really enjoyed science at school, but I enjoy it a lot more now I’m able to do my own things 🙂

I definitely didn’t enjoy all of science at school. But luckily for me there were more things I did enjoy than didn’t. So, I figured i’d Keep at it and eventually I could specialise in the bits I did like. Eventually this is what happened and I am so glad I stuck at it! Still, there are some bits of my job that I’d rather not do!
