• Question: Can you save energy by using the electricity from grass like the system of making electricity from running the windmill?

      Yes exactly, if you mean wind turbine 🙂 the methane gas that is produced by the microorganisms eating the grass can be captures and burnt, where it realises energy. This energy can be used to turn a turbine to generate renewable energy just as in a wind turbine. Any carbon dioxide produced from burning the methane is reabsorbed by the grass during photosynthesis, meaning there are zero emissions into the environment 😊🌱

      Aaron is the expert on this one as he is an environmental microbiology and he’s given you a fantastic answer and taught me something as well! This is a great example of how microbiology can be used for so many things, not just the obvious disease/infection route, you can also work with them from an environmental energy source point of view so well done for recognising this and thank you both for teaching me something!
