      Hair protects us from both heat and cold and gives us some protection from the sun. It’s not essential though as people can survive without hair but this is partly becasue we have invented clothes (hats) and sun cream. Everyone needs to protect their head when going out in the sun because it is very easy for this part of the body to get sun burned which could eventually lead to skin cancer.
