My Main lab is at the University of Manchester. More specifically the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology. We have a laboratory within the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology with lots of other equipment, mainly for Microbiology and Chemistry. This is where we measure the breath samples using a Mass Spectrometer.

We have one lab at the University of Birmingham, in Birmingham!
It’s on the top floor of the Department of Metallurgy and Materials. We use the bottom floor of the building for the heavy bits of equipment (like furnaces, electron microscopes (for REALLY small objects), forges).

You can see some pictures of our lab in my profile, if you’re interested (down the bottom of the page).

I work in a University but our building is in a different place to the rest of the University. We only have a couple of buildings and our labs are all quite old. The rooms were not meant to be laboratories so sometimes they can look a bit funny with all the machines crammed into little rooms. We make it work though!
