Good question.
When I finished school I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to be. I chose to study a subject at university that matched what I was good at at school but I had no idea what it would lead to. But it was only in my second year at university that I discovered that I could study psychology as a scientist. I was hooked!
During the final years of college. During school and college I tried a lot of subjects, trying to find what i’m good at and would enjoy, instead of having a boring career.
I always wanted to be a scientist and was always talking about science at home when I was younger.
When I was win Grammar school i was in the Science club and maths club, and all my friends enjoyed science too which was really great.
I don’t really know. It just sort of happened! I never really knew what I wanted to do- no, that’s not true. I always wanted to do everything! I couldn’t pick all of the subjects at school so I picked the ones I liked. And I just kept on choosing things I liked until I woke up one day and realised I was a scientist!
I think I’m really lucky that I was able to always do things I loved, and now I get paid to do it!
