      I guess you think of the seeds that trees produce as “babies”, these are made after the trees’ flowers are pollinated (so there are two bits of different genetic material that make them)
      Some trees can reproduce asexually (the new tree will have the identical genetic makeup as the parent), such as when we taking cuttings from them in cultivation, this is how we manage to produce seedless grapes or the Banana’s we eat that have sterile and tiny seeds in them.
