• Question: what is the 9th planet like :-)

      This is the one that’s only just been discovered, right? It’s very far out from the sun so it will be extremely cold, and other than that, I don’t think anyone really knows yet! Maybe one day we’ll send a space probe there and then we can find out.

      I agree with Greg I don’t think anyone knows as of yet because it is so far away but as our technology constantly advances then maybe one day they will be able to find out.

      I always still think of Pluto as the 9th planet in our solar system 🙁

      I’d guess it’d be pretty cold! Also interestingly, no-one actually knows where it is! All they know is where it’s orbit should be, so they are going to spend the next few years looking out in to space for it.

      Astronomers are being careful on their definition of a planet. If Pluto was still a planet then there would be thousands of objects that would qualify as planets.

      Apparently it is meant to be large, about the size of Neptune.
