Question: I understand that cancer has killed a lot of people but then how do you stop all of this happening

Yes, cancer is one of the major causes of death in this country. To stop it, we have to either stop it happening or else get better at curing it, or preferably both. There are lots of people researching things like gene therapy that may do both of those things in the future; right now we have three main ways of treating cancer: radiotherapy, chemotherapy (drugs) and surgery. Sometimes those don’t work if the cancer is too far gone before we catch it, which is why we need better ways of looking for cancer, like what I’m designing.

A good way you can reduce the chance of getting cancer yourself is to not smoke, because smoking is a very easy way to get lung cancer. Another way to avoid cancer is to use suncream in the summer to avoid getting skin cancer.
