Varicose veins is where the valves in the veins don’t work like they should and can lead to blood not returning back to the heart so the vein bulges out. They can look quite unpleasant and lead to ulcers on the legs and casue a lot of pain for people but not as severe as a DVT.

A deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is when a clot forms in your veins this can become very serious if some clot was to break off and travel up to the lungs and cause something called a Pulmonary Embolism- this can be life threatening.
